5 point 9

What you ask is 5.9? The last thing you hear before 6? Maybe, but today its the updated and upgraded version of, in my opinion, the best theme to come out of WJDDesigns. Previously known as OS6, changes were made, including the name, for a higher purpose. As you can see from the screenshots, this is a native Blackberry inspired theme that is very clean and functional. Modeled after the upcoming OS revamp by RIM (OS6), you can see that this is not just a theme, but a glimpse into the future of your berry. The same functions from the OS6 theme are present but upgrades include a cleaner looking ‘boxes’ indicator of which sliding icon panel to activate, a cleaned up top banner, and a more catchy name. I have both on my phone at the moment and I have to say, for some reason, 5.9 seems just a bit faster in its animations. Activation of the sliding animation seems easier to hit as well. Im thinking the upgrades to this staple creation make it an even stronger candidate for the best ever, must have theme on the market today. For me, it just seems to feel like home and other themes only seem to last a few days before I go back to 5.9.

About the Author ()

I’ve been a gearhead my whole life. This lead me to product and electrical design for a major auto maker. My love for design, computers/electronics and tinkering with gadgets forced the purchase of a smaprtphone when they first came out. I’ve stepped up through the ranks, WinMo, Blackberry (still have my Storm) and now an Android device. While using the Storm, I was a huge fan of themes, which brought me to WJDDesigns. I was honored to become part of this great team and could not be more proud to now be developing my own themes. I hope you enjoy what this team and our site has to offer.
