Windows 7 Phone: Death to BlackBerry & iPhone?

This is a little ridiculous.  Apparently the Windows Phone 7 RTM status Parade kicked off last week and featured a special Funeral procession for the death of “Blackberry and iPhone” devices.  While it is humorous to see, I really cant believe that this actually happened.  I really don’t know what to say here, however I do find it interesting that there is no direct mention of Android here.  I am definitely impressed with Windows Phone 7, but I cant see this taking down either of the two smart phone giants.  I certainly don’t see it making BlackBerry and iPhone “unwanted gadgets”.  Check out the story and  pics below, as well as the source info for bonus pictures.  Be sure to drop us a comment and let us know what you think.

The iPhone’s dead, long live the Windows Phone. That must be the genius proclamation that incited Microsoft to celebrate Windows Phone 7 reaching RTM status with the incomprehensible procession you see above. An elaborate parade, replete with hearses and black capes, was organized last week to denote the passing of the BlackBerry and iPhone into the land of unwanted gadgets. We’d say this is done in poor taste, but we don’t enjoy stating the obvious. We will, however, enjoy the fallout from this poorly judged stunt. I definitely believe that Windows 7 Phone will have a big impact on the market. The only speculation left is when and how long will it last?
