So mystery device that we want so bad, we meet again. The pictures that we posted Aug 27th are coming back full fold in a rumor that this may be a device coming to Verizon Wireless November 23 under the name “Incredible HD.” We personally think this would be a dumb move to name this the Incredible since the Incredible describes what the form factor of that device is. Small and powerful with an optical pad which sported HD as well. This device maybe coming to Verizon soon but we are are holding our breath on the name change, we hope HTC is a bit smarter then that at finding names. Oh you want our suggestion? Thanks to Chris Bogart on the team we now have the best possible name available. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the Verizon “VEVO.” Which sounds so much better because it has the characteristic of an Evo with some added specs like a dual-LED flash, kickstand, 4.3-inch screen, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and, wait for it… a front facing camera. Either way this device has to come sooner or later (hopefully with 4g inside) and we are ready to grab it. No word on the Android software this device will be running but we are all assuming, and hoping to see Gingerbread out of the box. Check out the photos below courtesy of BGR and be sure to drop us a comment with your thoughts on this latest rumor.
Takes this one lightly, guys, but new rumors suggest that a phone by the name of the HTC Incredible HD – what we suppose could be the 4.3-inch HTC device headed for Verizon – will be coming to Big Red on November 23rd. That’s just two days ahead of America’s biggest shopping day, if you aren’t keeping track.
The news comes from DroidForums’ admin Miami1683, who was apparently the first to bring us a solid release date for the original Droid Incredible. I didn’t have time to look through the entire thread where this claim was made, but traversing a few pages of trusting members tells me we could very well have something to be VERY thankful for from Verizon two days before Thanksgiving.
It’s worth noting that Verizon doesn’t like to make much noise leading up to the launch of a “sequel” device, as was proven with the quiet launch of the Motorola Droid 2. That could be a reason we haven’t heard much about this device. But until further evidence suggests otherwise, we’re going to have to tread lightly, here. I’m still circling the date on my calendar.
