The next HTC Windows Mobile phone coming to Tmobile in the” HD Series”, is the HD7, sporting the new Windows Series 7 UI. Over at phonescoop.com they did a great hands in this morning at the Microsoft event and gave us a great look at the specs and device.
The HTC HD7 will be sporting a 4.3 inch display (like the HD2), a nice kickstand in the back (like the HTC EVO), 5 megapixel camera a 5-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and 720/24p video. There’s also a 1 GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 576 MB of RAM on board, and 16gb of built in memory on board.
To me the HD7 is looking like the child of a HTC EVO and HTC HD2, although I couldn’t tell you which is the man or woman in that relationship. But there is no doubt that HTC has implemented a few different form factor ideas from other devices. We all know that the form factor isn’t the story here, HTC makes some great phones, arguably the best in my book (I say writing from my Motorola Droid X).
The big question is its UI, Windows Phone 7, and how it will match up against the leaders like Iphones IOS 4 and Android Froyo 2.2. Part of me is impressed with the new UI and the other part of me is still pretty skeptical, and not sure if Windows 7 series can compete with this writers beloved Android OS, but we will have to see……
Check out phonescoops great hands in video with the HTC HD7, and tell me what you think.
