Two New Android Tablets Announced By Acer

At a press event today in New York, Acer has announced two new tablet computers powered by Android, a 7 inch model as well as a 10.1 inch version.

Both tablets are believed to be running Android 2.2 with a custom user interface created by Acer over top of it.  Both also have the same 1280×800 resolution screens despite the difference in size.  The 10.1 inch model has a 1GHz processor with Adobe Flash 10.1 support and a 4 megapixel camera on the back of it.  The 7 inch one should be a smoker with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor pushing the pixels around on its screen.  Expected release of these tablets is April, 2011. Hopefully we’ll be able to get access to these in the US without much hassle. Will 2011 be the dawn of the Android tablet? Check out some images below and let us know what you think in the comments!
