Well fellow Droid X users waiting and praying for a pure AOSP ROM, your wait is over thanks to XDA Member Matt4542.  We have all been waiting for the “Obsidian” ROM, but apparently the maker CVPS has released his source and experienced devs like Matt4552 and drod2169 (my favorite dev) are working feverishly to get us a great true AOSP ROM.

There are still plenty of bugs though, and the installation is pretty tricky and not for newcomers.

Some of the bugs are:

Phone reboots when you press the sleep/wake button.
Video camera crashes.
Accelerometer doesn’t work.

Some features:

From source AOSP ROM.
Extra mods in the settings.
Zero Motoblur.
Rotary lock screen(Kinda defeats the purpose at the moment haha)
Lock screen music controls(Again defeats the purpose at the moment :P)
Built in USB tethering.
Eliot Stocker’s MusicMod.
Cytown phone.
More to come…

So head over and check it out, even if you are like me and waiting on some bug fixes, it shows the future is bright!
