Google Starts Pushing Android Market Updates

When I first saw screen shots of the updates that Google was bringing to the Android Market I was more than excited to finally love the Market for more than just its selection.  It has been almost a week without any further information other than those of you that ripped .apk’s to download the market early and catch a glimpse before the official rollout.  Well now today Google has officially announced (on the Android Market Facebook page) that the rollout has begun and will be pushed out to all devices running Android software 1.6 or later over the next two weeks.  Great news for those of you that have been waiting patiently since the gorgeous pics have been surfaced.  For any of you unfamiliar, the most significant change to the Market is the gorgeous new UI, however there are also quicker search options, more information about the apps and a better ratings system.  Check out the pic below and be sure to drop us a comment with your thoughts. How many of you have you received the Market update yet?

Google announced Monday that an update to the Android Market has started rolling out to devices. On its Android Market Facebook page, Google stated that the Market refresh will be pushed out to all devices running Android 1.6 or later over the next two weeks. Some users have already reported receiving the update, which apparently creates a much more appealing Market experience. Among the listed improvements are a better UI, faster searches, more information about apps and an improved ratings system.
