We know what you want here at GizmoNinja, United States Patent Office News!  I’m serious, you do want Patent office news when it involves HTC and a potential Tablet.  On December 26th, HTC filed a patent with the United States Patent and Trade Mark Office for the HTC Scribe.  The Patent calls for a “handheld wireless device, namely, a tablet computer”, so there is little doubt that the HTC Scribe will be a HTC Tablet.

Patent filing says:

International Class: 009 Class Status: Active Handheld wireless device, namely, a tablet computer Basis: 1(b) First Use Date: (DATE NOT AVAILABLE) First Use in Commerce Date: (DATE NOT AVAILABLE)

Now we can’t tell what OS the tablet is operating on from the patent details, and according to HTC Peter Chou they are firmly committed to both Windows 7 Series and Android, so its a guessing game for now. But it is good to see HTC moving forward in the tablet game, and maybe we can see a rough draft at CES 2011?
