With over 10 Million downloads for Android there is no doubt that Angry Birds is an extremely popular game. Android users will be introduced to some new features, hopefully soon that look to bring our entire experience to the next level. Coming up for Angry Birds is an ad-free version of the game, although no cost has yet been associated. There will also be the ability to purchase add-ons to the game, using what they are calling the “Bad Piggy Bank” where you purchase the add-ons inside the app, with carrier billing. My favorite addition by far is the Mighty Eagle, which is a level-skipping gigantic bird that is also available as an in-game purchase. Check out the teaser pic below and hit up the source link if you want to see a video of the press release. Let us know in the comments how excited you are for these updates and how you’re making out with “Seasons” right now.
New features are coming to Angry Birds and you’ll probably like all of them. Who wants an ad-free version of the game? That’s coming, after a fee of course. Who wants to buy add-ons to the game? That’s coming as the “Bad Piggy Bank”, meaning you’ll be able to do it in the app and the charges will be applied to your carrier bill. And who wants the Mighty Eagle! You know, that level-skipping beast of a bird? It will be one of those available in-app purchases.
No date has been set for the launch of these new features, but Rovio hasn’t been one to dilly dally.
Oh, they also topped 10 million downloads on Android now. Craziness.
