Droid X Need a Boost? Head to China

| January 17, 2011 | 1 Reply

If your processor could use a boost, just pack up your belongings, grab your passport, and take a trip!  A new version of the Droid X, the ME811, is going to be available, but only in China. Granted, the only major difference between the original and this new version is that it is clocked higher. Still the same 4.3″ screen, 8MP camera, and 512MB of RAM. But, for those of you that do like Blur, ours is quite a bit nicer, it seems.

Anyone up for a boost in processor speed on their DROID X?  You may want to consider packing your bags and heading to China then.  A new version of the DX is on its way there as the ME811, sporting a 1.2GHz OMAP 3630 processor, which is the same as what’s in your current phone, only it’s clocked higher.  Other than that, the phone is exactly the same with its 4.3″ screen, 512MB of RAM, and 8MP camera.  Well, at least we have the non-ugly version of Blur, right?

Hello software patch for speed boost?
