Many of you have seen 3D technology on the big screen, your local “Best Buy”or in the comfort of your home.  Well things just became a little more interesting.  Photos of the smartphone, LG Optimus 3D have come to you from an iPhone 4 of all things. LG will be touting this as the first  “full 3D” smartphone, enabling users to both record and view video in 3D.  The future of this phones has been rumored to come with a 4.3″ screen , dual-lens camera for 3D recording, multimedia connections with HDMI & DLNA to stream 3D video, Dual Core Processor and multi-channel RAM.  This may come as a surprise, but Sharp and Samsung have already produced 3D phones limited in capabilities to the Asian markets.   Pricing for this device has not been released at this time, but there is a rumored unveiling February 7th in New York.  Leave a comment and let us know what you think.

We showed you the first live pictures of the LG Optimus 3D this morning… before the phone had even been officially announced. And guess what? Now LG has gone public with news… and some ridiculously exciting details:

Not only will the Optimus 3D play back 3D content without the need for the viewer to wear glasses for the experience, the Optimus 3D will also include a dual-lens camera for 3D RECORDING. I’m not sure how well the playback or recording will work in reality, but I’m definitely drooling in reality.

Think about it: if one of the main problems with 3D screens is lack of 3D content, LG singlehandedly solves the problem by allowing you to create your own 3D content. I can think of a million entertaining ways to use this technology and I can’t wait to see it on display at Mobile World Congress February 14th to 17th in Barcelona.
