If you are like me and came home to a  cup of hot chocolate, and plopped down on the couch with your laptop and watched Steve Balmer’s CES Keynote address, then you know all of this already, but if not…

Steve has confirmed to wonderful, yet expected Windows Phone 7 rumors.

1.  Windows Phone 7 will be available for Verizon and Sprint in the first half of 2011.

2.  An update is coming for Windows Mobile 7 users, that includes copy and paste functionality.

So its great news for current users, as well as great news for those of us wanting a Verizon or Sprint version of Windows Mobile 7.  We just need to know about the Devices that will be coming, and hopefully a great variety will show, from makers such as HTC and Samsung.

7:12PM “We’re realeasing an update soon — including an update that adds copy and paste, and improves speed. We’ll also make the phones avilable on Verizon and Sprint in the first half of 2011. I want you all to see this phone, so please welcome Liz Sloan from the Windows Phone team.”
