Microsoft has begun sending out an update that will prep Windows Phones for the main updates in the future. This may not seem like a big update but it is essential to the road map of updates that will be in the future of the phone. Microsoft said

“This first update for Windows Phone is designed to improve the software update process itself,”

via the Windows Phone blog.

“So while it might not sound exciting, it’s still important because it’s paving the way for all future goodie-filled updates to your phone, such as copy and paste or improved Marketplace search.”

In order to update your Windows Phone users need to plug them into a computer with the latest version of the ZUNE software (Or Mac Connector Software) to get the update started. The update will be rolling out in waves and should be on all the devices sometime today. Even though the update is small it will bring you that “copy & paste” feature that should have shipped with the phone. Wait patiently Ninjas and let us know how the update goes…
