If you are a fan of Minecraft, then make sure whatever server you are on updates to beta 1.5. The developer notes these changes:

* Weather (rain, snow, thunder)
* Statistics
* Achievements
* Detector rail
* Booster rail
* Performance improvements

More statistics and achievements will be added over time as we develop the game. They’re only stored locally at the moment, but we’ll slowly be rolling out online storing of achievements over time.

Portal 2 came out yesterday, the new Mortal Kombat came out yesterday and Pocket Legends is free for a couple weeks. Next monday is the Gears of War 3 beta. It’s a good week if you’re a gamer.
