Say goodbye to the typewriter

| April 26, 2011 | Reply

If you are under the age of say, 30, then you never really got to hear the ding noise at the end of a lne. You never experienced changing a ribbon to finish a paper. You could just hit backspace for your typos. you should be thankful for that. The typewriter was a symbol of freedom and industry at one time. It allowed every day people to publish something without having to hand write. Just as the typewrite impacted handwriting the computer has now ended the typewriter.

In India the last surviving company that produced the machines will be selling it’s last 500 machines and will continue by making refrigerators. I think one day we will even see the end of the traditional computer keyboard as well.
