The first dual core phone on the T-Mobile network, the LG G2X has been announced and will be ready to buy online April 15th, and in stores April 20th. If your main focus on your next phone is dual core, this is a very nice choice. It sports an Nvidia Tegra running at 1ghz, 4g connectivity, an 8mp rear camera and a1.3mp front facing camera with Qik enabled video chat technology. All of that for just $199 after MIR. The UI appears to be pretty close to touchwiz, with all of the added junkware of course. With all the talk of locked bootloaders trolling around lately, you may want to wait and see just how this adds up for the hacking community. Aside from that one caveat, it’s nice to see another player step up in the Android high end phone area. Check the press release for full details.
