Virgin Oceanic wants to send people to the bottom of the ocean with this awesome submarine

| April 7, 2011 | Reply

The Mariana Trench is about 36,201 feet deep in the ocean. There has not been a whole lot of scientific study on what’s going on down there because of the limitations of science. That may be changing in a couple year with the Virgin Oceanic submarine. It can dive to the bottom of the ocean and back in a mear 5 hours. It  supports about 24 hours of life on its own while in the depths. So with safety and such taken into account humans may be spending 15 hours at the bottom of the ocean at a time. This amazing machine weighs 8000 pounds and can withstand 1500 times the pressure of the airplanes we fly in 30,000 feet in the air. Click the link to read all of the details of this invention.
