Antigravity might be closer than you think

Try to follow here as I don’t even really know what I am explaining. There is antimatter (antihydrogen) and it’s not quite antigravity. You use atoms of antihydrogen to try to figure out if antigravity really exists. The problem is that finding antihydrogen is really hard and keeping it trapped is even harder. When scientists last year announced they were able to trap 38 antiatoms for 172 milliseconds the science world was excited. You see, if you can take these atoms and they float, instead of fall like regular matter, then it more or less proves antigravity. Science says there is just as much antimatter in space as there is matter, but they don’t know where it is. If it floats it would be somewhere far far away. Now scientists have announced they were able to trap 309 of the antiatoms for about 15 minutes.

Up until now they have not been able to test this antihydrogen for long enough to prove anything as far as whether falls or rises. They were limited because of the time and amount of the atoms they had to test it. Soon scientists are going to have a large quantity of these atoms, which they will cool enough to see if it will indeed rise or fall. If they rise then it’s very significant. If it falls, it’s just another science experiment.
