Facebook unlikes Google, pays for you to do the same

So Facebook is paying off some marketing company to try to dig up dirt on Google. Someone over at fb hired a PR firm to spread anti-google stories to different media types. For the record, we <3 Google and would never accept a bribe from Facebook.

When approached about what they had done, Facebook summed it up by saying it was to show some of the privacy concerns that Facebook has about Google, also because Facebook doesn’t like that Google is going to use Facebook for its own social media research. If fb had privacy concerns over goog, why did they have to hire someone to find and showcase them? In the end, the best it came up with was something that ended up being nothing. An option for google to try to link your email account to other accounts you may have like twitter. The PR firm tried to make it sound as if goog was reading your emails. Which it wasn’t and isn’t. Google has a motto: Don’t be evil. Take some advice from big brother, Facebook.
