Netflix is the King of the internet
Sandvine crop has released some numbers regarding information downloaded “during peak hours” over the internet. They reported Netflix is responsible for almost 40% of all internet down traffic during these peak hours, which is a 44% increase over 7 months ago. They also reported that torrent downloading hasn’t really decreased wither, just more people are using both torrents and Netflix simultaneously. I am not sure if this number includes mobile data, and I assume it doesn’t. The mobile data downloaded by Netflix is sure to rise as well with the new Android app starting to spread.
