Pioneer debuts true augmented reality GPS for deep pocketed individuals

The photo above is a glimpse into the new Pioneer AVIC-VH09CS. Why is it better than your car stereo with built-in navigation? Real time augmented reality. You mount a small camera on your dashboard and the system will recognize lanes, stores and will make a 3d image of your destination for you to find it easily. The unit will even let you augment the car in front of you. So if you prefer to stare at a fiat instead of a ford then you may be able to do so.

The unit is a double din mount and comes with plenty of other features as well. It has a usb and SD card slot, will play Cd’s and DVDs, and will offer bluetooth connectivity. No HD radio is mentioned. Have I sold you on this amazing system yet? If not, don’t worry. It is only going to be available in Japan for a while and will set you back $3700. That is dollars, not Yen kids.
