Apple CEO Steve Jobs has reportedly submitted plans to build a new 150-acre campus that resembles the looks of a spaceship in the Silicon Valley town of Cupertino. The current Apple headquarters currently hold 2,800 people and the company plans on hiring 12,000 employees, Apple has been renting out nearby office building to accommodate for the growth; the new campus would make more sense financially than to keep renting out office space.
The planned campus will takeover the original location of HP’s computer systems division. The building should be break ground sometime next year if everything goes as Jobs plans; and it should be finished by 2015.
