Competition is good. Especially for the consumer. Case in point, AT&T no longer has exclusive rights to the iPhone. AT&T customers who are also iPhone fans, are finally free to switch to their preferred carrier and keep their beloved iPhone. So what’s lil ol’ AT&T to do? Welcome Android into their fold, naturally!
As well all know, however, with Android comes multiple OS versions. And with multiple versions come customers demanding they always have the newest and best. So, in order to keep their new Android-loyal customers happy, AT&T recently announced they will ensure all Android handsets purchased this year will receive the latest version of Android (Gingerbread) by the end of the year. In line for updates: Motorola Atrix, HTC Inspire, LG Phoenix, Pantech Crossover, Samsung Captivate, and Samsung Infuse.
