Here at Maker Detroit I am seeing a ton of awesome ideas and inventions, which I will post about as I get time. The first one I am going to speak on is Super Street Fire. The concept is as follows: You hook up hand sensors to various people who then walk into a ring surrounded by propane powered vertical torches. When the fighting moves are simulated, sort of Wii-like – Fire goes off! The sensors are also wirelessly linked to a laptop that will track a score of sorts for each person until a winner is announced. It’s a great idea and we have video of the event as well as an interview with the Maker himself, which we will post later. You can catch his work on his site to see what further progress is made with this idea.
