Grocery “SmartCart” Manages Your Shopping List

This would save me so many return trips to the grocery store! And keep me from forgetting to use coupons, only to find them a week after they’ve expired. That happens to everyone, right?

Check out this “Smart Cart,” a grocery cart equipped with a tablet that synchs to your smartphone app, now being piloted by SK Telecom in China. Imagine cruising up and down the aisles, receiving notifications from your cart when you’re approaching something on your list. Or being able to get product information, tips, and discounts as you shop (I would kind of miss my coupon clipping…). The PC-equipped cart will also be able to recommend items based on your location in the store and purchase history. Like I need help spending MORE money at the grocery store.
