Some of the things at Maker Detroit aren’t exactly techy or gadgets but are still very neat and this is one of them On a 15 inch diameter platter Brian DuBois has cast a detailed map of Downtown Detroit using the building demographics of the city from 2011. The documenting for the demographics took four years to complete in regards to obtaining maps/photos and hard line drawings. The platter is cast out of “various materials” and he had varying colors and types of platters on hand. It looks like Brians company 2:37am studios is an architecture and furniture engineering firm as well. Check his site for more projects by this studio.
