Google+ Now Has Games; Angry Birds, Anybody?

Today, Google tweeted via one of their official Twitter accounts that Google+ now has 16+ games available to play.

Unlike Facebook, where you see Mafia Wars and Farmville (among others) game spam cluttering your stream, Google+ games are contained to just the games section.

When it becomes available to you (its a gradual rollout, apparently), to access games you click on the games button that is found at the top of your stream, next to your circles button. Once in the games area you can see the latest game updates from your circles, browse the invites you’ve received and check out games that people you know have played recently. Also appearing on the games page are your game accomplishments, which you can share with your friends. The important thing here is that people who have you circled will only see your game spam if they choose to go to their games page and view it.

No word yet on when to expect more games or how often new ones will become available.

The list of currently available games included:

Angry Birds

Bejeweled Blitz

Bubble Island

City of Wonder

Collapse! Blast

Crime City

Diamond Dash

Dragon Age Legends

Dragons of Atlantis

Edge World

Flood-It!

Monster World

Sudoku

Wild Ones

Zombie Lane

Zynga Poker

UPDATE: I’ve confirmed the “slow rollout” of the games feature. I don’t have the games button yet, but tried going to plus.google.com/games and was presented with the following message saying the feature is being tested with a small group initially:
