Nokia Plans To Use Low Prices For WP7 To Compete With Android

| August 15, 2011 | Reply

Nokia has all but faded off into nothing, sort of like Blackberry in six months. They have jumped on board and plan to release several WP7 Mango phones this fall. There is no set release date but we should know more about that soon. Chris Weber who is head of Nokia North America sales said in a recent interview that it will be “one of the greatest turnaround stories in history” when they start selling phones with Mango loaded on them. He went further to explain that they will release several phone models that are priced lower than the entry level Android phones. They ned to learn that will only grant them temporary success and they will need a lower price point on full feature phones for us geeks as well. Bit it sounds as if they have a plan for a comeback and sustainability. Winter should be interesting for mobile technology.
