Tired Of Hearing Particular People On TV? Mute Them Automatically With Arduino

| August 16, 2011 | Reply

Matt Richardson was tired of hearing things about Charlie Sheen and Sarah Palin(im guessing by the video) so he did some research and found a way to use a small inexpensive Arduino kit to sense when they are mentioned via close caption and have them auto muted. It’s a pretty neat idea if you’ve grown tired of hearing about a celebĀ  or what not. I think I may set it to mute every time Chris Berman starts talking on ESPN. In fact, maybe we could design something to sense when he’s on screen and just block out his face entirely. I digress…watch the video and see if you want to take on the task of doing this yourself.
