AT&T Announces The HTC Jetstream LTE Android Tablet

| September 1, 2011 | Reply

Back in July we talked a bit about the HTC “Puccini” tablet, HTC’s first entry into the 10″+ tablet market. Yesterday, AT&T officially announced the same tablet as the HTC Jetstream as their first 4G/LTE capable tablet.

The HTC JetStream features a 1.5ghz dual core Qualcomm SnapDragon processor, 8 mega pixel rear facing camera, and 1.3 mega-pixel front facing camera and memory up to 32gb. The tablet also features HTC Scribe technology, like the HTC Flyer tablet does. The HTC Scribe software, along with the digital stylus, allows you to things like draw, take notes and signing digital documents. AT&T is including the stylus with the Jetstream for free, for a limited time.

The Jetstream will be  available at AT&T Core stores on September 4th for $850 off contract and $700 on a new 2 year agreement. That’s quite a difference from something like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, which can be grabbed from Verizon for $530 for 16gb and $630 for 32gb.

Seems like a good device, but Im not sure how well people will take to the price. We shall see.
