Verizon Wireless To Expand 4g To Some Larger Markets. Shows Indiana Some Love

| September 21, 2011 | 1 Reply

Verizon wanted to expand 4g coverage to 175 markets by the end of 2011.It’s right on track to do that with this latest expansion to 164 markets. The switch has already been turned on so if you live in these areas and own a 4g phone, you’ve probably noticed by now. But if you were thinking of getting some 4g and live in these areas, gogogo!. The list of the new areas is as follows:

  • Green Bay, WI
  • Bloomington, IN
  • Bedford, IN
  • Mitchell, IN
  • Evansville, IN
  • Birmingham, AL
  • Albuquerque, NM
  • Santa Fe, NM
  • Terre Haute, IN
  • South Bend, IN
  • Mishawaka, IN
  • Elkhart, IN
  • Goshen, IN
  • Sioux City, IA
  • Buffalo, NY
  • Niagara, NY
  • Modesto, CA
  • Stockton, CA

Expanded markets:

  • Greater Erie, PA
  • Los Angeles, CA
  • San Diego, CA

Looks like IN is the big winner in this round of 4g. Now if the greater New England area could get some love for poor SarahS.
