While Tabe is busy liveblogging the Apple keynote I will sum up a small part of it – Music players. Apple has announced a new Ipod Nano and Ipod shuffle which have updated software and specs.
The ipod nano will receive some software tweaks as well as an increase in storage specs. You can snag up a nano at $149 for an 8 gig and $179 for the 16 gig variety. Changes include swiping between apps as opposed to seeing a small grid on the screen. The nano has improved fitness features with tracking of walks and runs without the need for a Nike+ adapter. There are also 16 new clock faces. The new Nano is available starting today.
The new touch will support iOS5 out of the gate. It comes in black or white now and will be available at a price of $199 for an 8gig, $299 for a 32gig and $399 for a 64 gig. So this product has also seen an increase in storage capacity. The new touches will be available Oct. 12th like just about everything else iOS 5 related.
