Samsung gives a quick peek at the Nexus Prime in Teaser video [Video] UPDATE: Launching Oct. 27?

There has been a ton of speculation surrounding the specs of Samsung’s follow up to the Nexus S, the Nexus Prime (at least that’s what most are calling it) GT-I9250. We’re not going to join in on the speculation, we’ll instead just wait until we have confirmed specs. What we will do, though, is share some pics and a video that give us our first peek at what the device looks like.

The image above is the first actual image we’re seen of the Nexus Prime. It obviously doesn’t show the entire phone, but it does show is some display metrics that seem to back reports of the phone shipping with a 720p (1280×720) display with a resolution of 320 DPI – all packed in a 4.6-inch chassis (although still not officially verified).

The next image, pulled from a teaser video for Samsung’s Mobile Unpacked 2011 (coincidence that the video was released on the same day as the iPhone 4S event? I think not!), gives us a pretty good profile look at the device. As you can see the phone has a good amount of curve to it…

We’ll find out all of the juicy details in less than a week, when Samsung unveils the device at Mobile Unpacked 2011 next Tuesday, October 11th. Teaser video below:

Update: It appears another rumor has come for the phone with a scheduled release date of October 27th. It comes from Droid-Life and should be taken as pretty much false until further notice. The same memo had another product pegged wrong already. But let’s hope it is that soon!
