Motorola announced the Droid RAZR on Oct. 18th, and with the launch date of November 10th is coming up fast (you can actually pre-order now and have it shipped before the 10th) it was almost a given that Verizon would launch a contest just like they did with the Bionic and DROID devices before it. This evening, the @DroidLanding Twitter account showed signs of life, ensuring that a contest to win a RAZR is indeed upcoming. The tweet read as follows: “Reactivation protocols initiated. Await instructions from Operative tracking #DROIDRAZR.”
It will be interesting to see what they have in store this time… Will it be a contest where they tweet clues and coördinates like they did with the Droid X? One where you have to decode messages like they did with the Droid R2D2? Or will it be something like the Droid Bionic contest, where contestants had to use an augmented reality app to track prizes in order to rack up entries? We don’t have any details on how the contest will be run yet, but I’m sure we’ll know soon – so stay tuned.
