A handful of apps are selling for just 10 cents in the Android Market currently. We’re not sure if this is some sort of glitch or a special holiday treat for Android users.

This was brought to Phil Nickinson’s, over at Androidcentral, attention by a couple of Twitter users, @dirkyd3rlc and @Pat_Huey.

The known discounted apps so far are:

I’d hurry and grab any of these that you’re interested in, if I were you, as it’s unknown how long this will last!

We’ll keep you updated on any other discounted apps that are found. Let us know in the comments if you find any!

UPDATE: It has been discovered that these 10 cent apps are definitely not a glitch. It’s all part of Google’s “10 billion promo”, celebrating the market reaching 10 billion downloads. The Android Market will be promoting 10 premium apps for this low low price, with a new set each day, for the next 10 days.

According to the Google+ post on the Android profile, Android users are downloading over one billion apps every month – at an ever-increasing rate. That’s a lot of downloads!
