A while back we reported on the Parrot Asteroid, the first car stereo powered by Android. The $350 device seemed prett nice, but was never really adopted by many. On Amazon, the device is still running almost the same price and only has a few reviews. Now Clarion has made what it calls the first OEM car stereo powered by Android. What’s the difference? The Clarion may be sold with new cars soon. The device boasts a 6.5 inch touchscreen and access to the Play Market. Right now the stereo is in testing with multiple car manufacturers and should head into production in a couple of months. I ask again, is Android Auto going too far?
