A Working Port Of CM9 Comes To The Verizon Galaxy S3, Bootloader Be Damned

| July 20, 2012 | Reply

Through a somewhat shifty, but working, method of bypassing the bootloader on the Verizon Galaxy S3, CM9 can be had on the phone. You will have to replace your recovery with the Kexec recovery/kernel through some pretty simple ADB commands. Then you can flash the rom just like every other phone. If you are itching for some AOSP love then follow the link over to Rootzwiki and give it a shot. This should pave the way for a CM10 port soon.
