AT&T Shared Data Plans Announced. AT&T Won’t Force You Into Them

| July 18, 2012 | Reply

As most people anticipated, AT&T detailed their new shared data plans today. These plans are similar to Verizon with one major difference- AT&T will allow you to keep your existing plan, if you choose. The prices will also tier for device charges depending on the data plan you choose. For example: If you have one smartphone and one gb of data the phone will cost you $45 for the line and the data will be $40. If you go up to a 10gb data plan for $120 the phone charge per line would go down to $30. Just like Verizon mobile hotspot is included. These plans seem to offer a little less sticker shock than Verizons offering. AT&T will allow you to keep your unlimited data plan as well, if that is what you are already using.
