Just off the heels of record profits news from Samsung, HTC had to come out and let everyone know they had about a 58% loss in profits. Net income in Q2 for HTC was just $247 million. Last year HTC made about $586 million in the same time frame. HTC chalks the loss up to holds ups at customs and stronger competition. They also took some time off from releasing phones to work on the One series. The OneX is among the top three phones available right now but has limited carrier availability. I think HTC should shoot for a multi carrier release like Samsung did for the S3 for their next super phone.
