Twitter Updated For IOS And Android, Adds Selective Push Notifications

| July 11, 2012 | Reply

Twitter is an app pretty much everyone who reads this site uses I am assuming. Not too long ago I was having a conversation with some friends and fellow GN staffers about where twitter could be improved. We all came up with selective push notifications. The idea is simple: You select specific people or what not that you would like push notifications from. So you don’t get notifications from every person you follow, just your favorites. Twitter has gone ahead and brought this to light. The updated twitter app will allow you to select people and receive actual push notifications when they tweet or retweet. Now we just need twitter to natively support grouping of people you follow. The updates should be live in whichever app store you use.
