USB May Soon Replace Most Of Your Power Adapters And Plugs

| July 24, 2012 | Reply

A new standard for USB has been set that will allow 100 watt power to transfer over USB. This will require new hardware to take advantage of the output but it may not be far off. You could power things like light bulbs, tablets, and even charge your computer through USB. Hopefully every computer manufacturer, and some other companies, will adopt the standard to make all of our lives easier. Imagine just having a few usb plugsĀ  around your house that could power almost all of your devices instead of having a different plug for each gadget.
