Google has added a pretty interesting feature to YouTube – Face blurring. How can you use this? Many ways. If you want to share a video of kids or blur out pedestrians if you are in public. You can also use it to blur your face if you are trying to remain anonymous with your video. This might be great for countries where people can be put in prison for offering their beliefs, or it might be bad for those videos where criminals post their shenanigans. YouTube’s blog mentions human rights the most and even shows a “test” featuring a face blurred with a title “Demonstration for Egypt”. The new tool should be available now in your additional features options when you upload.
