Currently if you go to the mail Gmail login page you get auto signed into an account you chose. If you have another account saved on your browser a little drop down can get you to the other account. If you don’t have any account passwords saved, you have to completely log in every time if you have logged in from more than one Gmail in the browser. Now Gmail is rolling out a multiple login page for Gmail that will show the accounts that had logged in before and you can select which one to log in with and enter the password. This can be particularly useful in a household that shares computers and put further proof into Google finally entering multiple login availability for mobile devices.
