Lenovo has let the cat out of the bag with a couple of new products today. First, we have a new Ultrabook that appears to finally be getting around to those lower costs we have all been promised. The T430U will feature a third generation I processor, Nvidia graphics, and a 14 inch HD display. The ultrabook comes in at about three quarters of an inch and weighs in around four pounds. The price is just $779 to start which is pretty good considering the newest processor included.
Next, we have a new Windows 8 tablet. It will simply be called the Thinkpad Tablet 2. This tablet will feature a multitouch screen that is made just for the Windows 8 *metro* interface. The tablet is just a mere .33 inches thick and weighs about a pound. In addition to the touchscreen there is an optional digitizer for stylus use. The tablet will feature an Atom processor, USB and HDMI ports, and claims a 10 hour battery life. No word on price for this, but it should be out in October when Win 8 makes it’s tablet debut.
