Windows 8 is hoping to do what WP7 could do and bring MS into the smartphone market as a major player. While many people thing that is impossible, less than 50% of all cell phones are smartphones. This leaves plenty of room for a new OS to step up. Samsung wants to be at the forefront of the WP8 revolution with the new ATIV S. While the name is terrible the specs are pretty nice:
- 4.8 inch Super AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass 2
- 1.5 Ghz dual core processor
- 1GB ram
- 8mp rear camera and 1.8mp front camera
- 16 and 32gb storage with microsd sot for expansion
- 2300mah battery for all day use
The specs are really nice, but I have to say the design kind of reminds me of the HTC thunderbolt. The phone will support NFC an like the Galaxy S3 there is a physical home button with capacitive back and search buttons. The phone should be out in October and will likely start out on ATT and Sprint.
