Youtube App Pulled From iOS 6, But Not Because Apple Wanted It Gone

| August 6, 2012 | Reply

I see a ton of news articles talking about Apple fighting back against Google even more by dumping YouTube from their new mobile OS. Well, a lot of sites have a flare for the dramatics. Here’s whats really going on: Apple’s license ran out. Yep, the license for Apple to put the YouTube app on their iOS is expired and Apple has issued a statement that they are working to get the agreement renewed. By the time iOS6 is finally on devices, it will likely re-add the app. So nothing to see here folks, move along.
