Godaddy Patents “Announcing A Domain Name Registration On A Social Website”. What? How?

| September 28, 2012 | Reply

Hey everyone! Did you know you can now access this website by going to gizmoninja.info or gizmoninja.net as well? By telling you that, I have just violated a patent. First amendment be damned, Godaddy can sue me. All because the site we pay for posted this story to Twitter and Facebook. The state of patents in the US is reaching the point of comical and this further proves it. Patent #8,276,057 has been granted to godaddy. It was filed back in 2009. You can read the full disclosure of the patent here. I don’t know what it will take for these patents to stop, but something has to be done.
