Windows 8 has been sent to OEM’s and has been certified gold(done) for a couple weeks. Now MS is almost ready to show off the OS in full detail on October 25th. Windows 8 will be one of the most ambitious moves MS has made in a long time to try to lure more customers in. The UI looks very touch friendly and MS planned that because the traditional desktop PC is dead. We are all more used to using our fingers to navigate our phones, tablets and soon our laptops. MS wants to keep up with the trend. The new tablets MS is producing should be shown off in full detail as well, and we should know the exact price by then. Early reports has a lot of people who have tried Win8 not liking the UI, but the general public may have a different opinion. Time will tell is Win7 becomes the new XP.
