Best Buy Jumps In The Tablet Game, Will Match Online Pricing For Electronics Through The Holidays

| October 12, 2012 | Reply

Best Buy has their own brand name called insignia. They make all kinds of things on the cheap. Usually it’s just rebrands of items they get a mass discount on and sell as their own. Not sure where they could have gotten this tablet from but Best Buy has announced a new 9.7 inch tablet called the flex. The tablet will feature a 1Ghz dual core processor with up to ten hours of battery life. No word on ram or resolution. No word on price either. The tablet is set to launch next month just in time for holiday shopping.

More news from Best Buy that may be more exciting is that the large box store is going to do their best to prevent window shoppers. Myself, I go to Best Buy, find a product I liek then immediately order it on Amazon online because it’s cheaper with no sales tax. Best Buy wants to stop this so they have announced they will start to price match online sales. I am sure there will be a hundred stipulations because Best Buy isn’t exactly known to be consumer friendly, but it’s a good step!
