Scaneye is a company that monitors bit torrent trackers. They do this for various movie and television studios so the companies can keep track of how much they have been pirated. Terrentfreak recently employed the services of Scaneye to find out who has been more egregious in pirating, the studios or the bit torrent company. Not surprisingly Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox and Walt Disney all had trackers sharing their own shows on trackers. While bit torrent had none. Earlier this year Scaneye had found that some IP’s owned by the RIAA were also guilty of illegal file sharing. I suppose it’s just like your parents told you “do as I say, not as I do”.
